After completing his B.S. in Building and Construction from the prestigious M.E. Rinker School at the University of Florida–all while working with a national building and construction firm based in Atlanta–Michael accepted a project manager’s job with southeastern powerhouse Elkins Constructors in Jacksonville in 2005.

On the management fast track with Elkins, Michael worked on projects ranging from a 95,000-square-foot courthouse renovation to a brand new 125,000 square-foot green school. Having learned to negotiate subcontractor’s proposals and coordinate schedules on a large scale, Michael was recruited back to the family business in 2008.

Sensing the market shift to green buildings and the need for sustainable options for owners, Michael began the arduous process of obtaining LEED certification.  At the same time adopting the “Green Contractor Certification” process set forth by the Associated Builders and Contractors for MH Williams. This process has proven time and again to save dollars for our clients.
